Following are reminders for those participating in the 57th Annual Haili Volleyball Tournament.

1. FORMAT

            See the attached sheet

            Do not check in at the desk.  The team representative must check in with the Court Manager at their scheduled playing site to validate their roster prior to their first match. Two rosters need to be presented at this time. One will be for the Championship Desk and the other will be your official roster to be presented at every match that you play. If there are changes to the original roster that was submitted, an up-to-date Web Point roster must be presented. If you do not present them at your first match you will not be able to play.  Once your roster has been validated the Court Manager will initial the copy that is to be presented at every match. If it is not initialed it won’t be accepted at your next match. It is your responsibility to make sure you don’t forget your roster. The team representative’s name, hotel, room number, and telephone number should be provided to the Court Manager upon arrival. Continue reading →

All games rally-scored; 25 points, deuce, no cap; 8 minutes stop-time; 12 team substitution

2 time-outs per game; 5 minute warm-up together (adults); Jrs. will do a 3 minute warm-up                                                           individually.

T-shirt order form.  Disregard the deadline date of Mar. 16th.  If you really want the sizes you need, get it in ASAP.  If not, you may take a chance when you go to the Civic.
Just a reminder, many of you have not sent in your web point roster.  I know some of you were still registering players.  Deadline to do this is Mar. 19th.  If you have any changes to your original web point please send in an updated roster.  You will need to have 2 copies when you come.  One for the desk and one to carry with you at every game.  The court managers will be checking your rosters.
Because there were less teams this year due to Nationals being in Phoenix I made it so that everyone will play at least 4 matches.  Some of you will be playing a consolation bracket just to get another game in.

Pick up will be at the Hilo Civic Auditorium – T-Shirt Booth from Mon., Mar. 24 to Sat., Mar. 29. Identification is required when  picking up pre-ordered shirts.

Aloha Everyone,

Here we are once again getting ready for another Haili Tournament. The

dates for the tournament are March 24 – 29, 2014. I hope everyone is gearing

up and preparing to attend next year’s tournament.

If you are truly expecting to play in the tournament, you need to make

your hotel and car reservations ASAP. We are not back-to-back with Merry

Monarch next year but hotel space and cars are limited. Do not wait!

JUNIORS: This year we are opening up an 8U division. There are more

and more clubs with younger players so we hope that there will be enough teams

out there to have this division. If we can’t separate the girls from the boys then

we will have co-ed but the teams are limited to having no more than two boys on

the court at one time. This is good up to the 10U division.
